Loughborough University
“William Freer have been employed by Loughborough University as their Catering Equipment Maintenance Contractor for over 9 years. The catering equipment on the University campus is wide ranging and includes gas, electrical and refrigeration appliances. They were appointed following a formal tender process where they were assessed on both price and quality. Throughout this time, we have found Mark Whitehead and his team to be professional, highly competent, reliable, helpful, and always eager to support Loughborough University staff.
The large number of catering outlets on the campus combined with the long opening hours means that effective planning and communication is essential, and the William Freer team have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in achieving this.
Having safe and compliant catering equipment and installations is of paramount importance to the University, and William Freer have been a major contributor in ensuring compliance with statutory legislation i.e., Gas Regulations, F-Gas Regulations, and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
Key performance indicators for the contract, for example engineer response times have been met and costs for follow up work and repairs have been competitive, and in accordance with the agreed contract rates.
The routine maintenance carried out by the William Freer engineers is of high quality and as a result we have experienced fewer equipment breakdowns and increased reliability which has meant much reduced disruption to the catering operations.
